This presentation will explore the rich learning potential of the art experience as children are encouraged and trusted to observe and study, use authentic tools and techniques to explore, create and wonder through visual and symbol language.

Learning Outcomes:

• The realisation that embracing the visual arts as a core component of the Early Childhood curriculum awakens in children powers of inquiry and invention, creativity and imaginative perseverance.
• That an individual and collaborative commitment to the visual arts defines a culture of creativity and endows children with multiple gifts.

Introducing Jacqui Bolt

Jacqui has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Sydney College of the Arts as well as a Dip Ed from Sydney University. She has worked as an educator in Primary and Secondary Education and more recently as an art consultant in the field of Early Childhood Education. Jacqui has travelled and worked extensively in unique locations and brings a global appreciation and sensitivity to her work with young children. She has exhibited her own works as well as co-ordinating numerous exhibitions on behalf of the early childhood sector.  Jacqui is currently teaching visual arts with primary and preschool age children and shares her passion for the arts through consultation and workshops.
