‘Difficult or Different? ... Shifting the Focus’    Transforming Organisations and People

Working with, and challenging colleagues to excel to the next level in their work is no easy task.

Our understandings of people are influenced by a number of factors including our own personal values.

From time to time we all face challenges in our work with colleagues, and as such these challenges call us to embody great leadership skills as well as a high level of integrity.

This presentation provides learners with an opportunity to develop new skills in working through difficult situations, to develop a new vocabulary to adopt during trying times, as well as providing an insight into the power of coaching skills.

Informative, refreshing and practical, participants will walk away challenged to think and act differently !

This course is presented by Lorraine Madden, Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood), Dip.Teach.,(Early Childhood).  She currently holds the position of Manager Training, Research and Innovation with Semann & Slattery. 

Lorraine Madden has a degree in Education (Early Childhood) through the Institute of Early Childhood Studies, a diploma in Counselling and Group Work through Relationships Australia, and a Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training.

Lorraine has a commitment to programs that promote inclusion for all children and adults. This is most notable in her extensive experience working as a consultant supporting educators to include children with disabilities, children from non-English speaking backgrounds, indigenous children and children who have experienced torture and trauma.

Lorraine has a commitment to the principles of social justice, particularly as they relate to children, and is an active member of a range of advocacy organisations and committees.  She has served on a number of community boards including Contact Inc. and the Executive of Early Childhood Australia and Early Childhood Intervention Australia (NSW Chapter).

This course is conducted over a two hour period.  Course content, certificate of attendance and light refreshments are included.  The cost includes GST.
