At the Learning Resource Centre of Australia (LRCA) we believe:

- In providing a holistic approach to training by bringing together education, health and environmental aspects;

- In incorporating the emotional, mental, physical and spiritual well-being of our clients—not only for today, but for the future;

- That everyone from infants to elders has a right to receive quality education and training relevant to their own needs;

- That it is essential for persons to be trained, in order to make effective decisions regarding their future;

- That we can empower our clients by providing the best possible training and services within our community.

The History of LRCA

The Australian Childcare Resource Centre Ltd was established as a childcare development and management consultancy. Its mission is to enable organisations and individuals to establish and operate children’s services in order to satisfy the needs of staff and the community.

The Senior Director, Kay M Doyle, identified a need to provide additional training and development to early childcare workers, recent graduates and more experienced professionals in the early childhood industry.  The viability of establishing a training centre that could fulfil this requirement was examined.  Kay determined that if such an organisation employed quality staff, from a range of diverse industries, then its scope of training would not be limited to the child care industry alone.  As a result LRCA was established as a division of the Australian Childcare Resource Centre Ltd.

LRCA has been operating since November 2002 and has conducted a many courses and workshops in Sydney. The course schedule can be seen here.

LRCA is a Registered Training Organisation under the Australian Quality Training Framework.
